Namaste, I’m Trishala, and I’ve been a student of Yoga for nearly 12 years, almost half my life.
I was a young teenager when I stumbled upon Yoga, almost accidentally. I found myself going back, over and over, unknowing what this journey held for me. Shortly after, I began a 500h Teacher training course, never wanting to be a teacher, instead to learn enough about sequencing, in the hopes that one day, I could practice it all by myself. These 7 months, I dedicated to my practice, learning and loving new asanas, doing my first headstand, and mastering a few others. The same year, I went off to university, and there began my journey to self-practice. No matter what, I found myself on my mat, at least 2x a week, nothing made me feel more grounded, calm the mind and move the body all at once. I taught a couple of friends, and realised I love to teach! The next year, I became a certified Yoga & Wellness Instructor and completed an Ayurvedic Diet and Nutrition Course. Ever since, I have taught multiple age groups, held & demonstrated online workshops through the pandemic, conducted prenatal yoga classes, pursued a Diploma in Yoga Shastra and even wrote a blog for a short while on my journey.
At be yogi, I hope to teach Traditional Hatha Yoga, in a way where yoga can be accessible to anyone of any age group and any body type. My classes will include Asanas, Pranayama, Meditation and Relaxation. As they say, Yoga is a lifestyle, and I intend to teach you how to integrate it into your daily life, giving you key insights on benefits and contraindications.
